Annual Review Procedures
Background
The International Accrediting Commission for Digital Education (IACDE) conducts annual reviews to ensure continuous compliance, improvement, and accountability among accredited and candidate institutions.
These procedures provide a structured framework for monitoring progress, verifying quality indicators, and reinforcing institutional integrity between full review cycles.
The purpose of this policy is to:
• Maintain high standards of quality and integrity throughout the accreditation term.
• Identify early signs of noncompliance or areas needing support.
• Encourage institutions to demonstrate measurable improvement.
• Ensure transparency and fairness in ongoing evaluation.
Scope
This policy applies to all institutions holding Candidate Status or Full Accreditation with IACDE.
It outlines expectations for documentation, timelines, and corrective actions associated with the annual review process.
Annual Review Requirements
Each accredited institution must submit an Annual Review Report that includes:
• Institutional data updates (enrollment, staffing, and program changes).
• Summary of internal quality assurance activities.
• Evidence of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Financial stability statement or audited summary (if applicable).
• Confirmation of compliance with IACDE’s standards and policies.
Reports are due annually on the institution’s accreditation anniversary date unless otherwise specified.
Evaluation Process
• The IACDE Secretariat conducts an initial review for completeness and compliance.
• The Policy & Standards Committee or assigned peer reviewers may request clarification or additional documentation.
• Findings and recommendations are forwarded to the Commission for final acknowledgment.
• Institutions demonstrating compliance will receive written confirmation of continued recognition.
Follow-Up and Corrective Actions
• If deficiencies or noncompliance are identified, the institution will receive an official notice outlining required corrective actions.
• A reasonable timeframe (typically 60–90 days) will be provided for the submission of evidence demonstrating resolution.
•Failure to respond may result in further monitoring, probation, or review of accreditation status.
Continuous Improvement and Support
IACDE promotes collaboration and mentorship throughout the review process.
Institutions may request advisory support or technical assistance in addressing recommendations or enhancing quality systems.
Recordkeeping and Reporting
• Annual review outcomes are recorded in the institution’s accreditation file.
• Summary findings are included in the Commission’s annual report for transparency.
• All documents are treated as confidential in accordance with IACDE’s Data Protection & Privacy Policy.
Policy Review and Governance
