“Transparency and accountability define true accreditation integrity.”— IACDE
Withdrawal & Termination Policy
Background
The International Accrediting Commission for Digital Education (IACDE) upholds accountability by maintaining clear procedures for voluntary withdrawal and Commission-initiated suspension or termination of accreditation.
This policy ensures that all changes to institutional recognition are handled fairly, transparently, and in accordance with IACDE standards.
The purpose of this policy is to:
• Provide clear guidelines for institutions seeking voluntary withdrawal.
• Establish due process for suspension or termination initiated by the Commission.
• Ensure timely public disclosure of status changes.
• Protect students and stakeholders through transparent communication.
Voluntary Withdrawal
• Institutions may voluntarily withdraw their candidacy or accreditation at any time by providing written notice to info@iacde.org.
• Withdrawal becomes effective upon receipt and acknowledgment by IACDE.
• The institution’s name will be removed from the IACDE Directory of Recognized Institutions, and its status will be publicly updated.
Commission-Initiated Suspension or Termination
The Commission may suspend or terminate accreditation for reasons including:
• Persistent noncompliance with IACDE standards.
• Failure to submit required reports or responses.
• Ethical or integrity violations, including misrepresentation of status.
• Financial instability that threatens educational continuity.
• Refusal to cooperate with review or monitoring processes.
Procedural Steps
• IACDE provides formal written notice of intent to suspend or withdraw, outlining specific reasons and evidence.
• The institution is granted 30–60 days to respond and may submit corrective evidence or request reconsideration.
• After review, the Commission votes on final action.
• Institutions under suspension or withdrawal are notified in writing of the outcome.
Public Disclosure
• Final decisions are published on the IACDE website within 30 days.
• A Public Disclosure Notice summarizes the reason for action and includes the institution’s written response if provided.
Reinstatement
• Institutions may apply for reinstatement after demonstrating full compliance with standards and resolution of deficiencies.
• A new review or candidacy process may be required depending on the severity of findings.
Recordkeeping and Confidentiality
All correspondence, decisions, and evidence related to suspension or termination are securely maintained in IACDE’s confidential institutional files.
